Frequently Asked Questions
Is Expo free to attend?
Virtual Expo is free to everyone and you can register here! The Friday night event in San Francisco is not free but there is a discount for students.
Will the talks be recorded?
Yes, all Main Stage presentations will be recorded and available at wcnexpo.org/talks after the event.
How do I troubleshoot if I have technical issues during the event?
If you are experiencing trouble with the event platform, please try refreshing the page which should help. We find that the platform works best in the Google Chrome browser, and we recommend making sure your browser is up to date with the most recent version before the event starts.
If you can’t get it to work, we will also be live-streaming the talks here.
Please note that Expo is best experienced on a desktop or laptop as some features on the virtual event platform are not available on mobile.
Will the Virtual Expo be easy to navigate?
Hopin is fairly intuitive and you can find lots of helpful articles here. Here is a short video tutorial where you can get a feel for Virtual Expo before it starts.
Will I get to interact with the conservationists?
Yes! A question and answer session will take place directly following each talk. You will have the opportunity to type your questions in the chat box and our moderators will get to as many questions as possible.
Throughout the week, you can also visit our virtual Expo booths, where conservationists and wildlife experts will be available to interact with you live through the chat box and occasionally live on camera.
Will the event be accessible with closed captions?
The stage and various areas in the Virtual Expo event platform have caption capabilities. You can learn more about captions for Hopin here. If you have requests or questions, please email expo@wildnet.org
Will Expo sell out?
Due to the virtual nature of Expo, space is unlimited! You’ll be joining this event with other passionate wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world.
Our in-person Friday night event in San Francisco is limited and tickets are available for purchase here.
I’m not in San Francisco. Can I still watch the Jane Goodall event?
Unfortunately we will not be livestreaming the event but many of the speakers will be at Virtual Expo and we hope you catch them there!
I have a question not listed. Who do I ask?
